Curious about how to save some extra money or have some questions? Check out the following helpful tips from Buckingham Companies:
- In order to avoid extra charges pile that extra bag or two on top of the container rather than on the ground.
- Please place trash, recycling and compost carts at least 3 feet apart from each other. This allows the truck lift to grab each container separately without spillage.
- Trash must be at the curb by 7 a.m. – This will prevent you from being missed on your collection day!
- Why can’t you use plastic bags for your yard waste and compost?
-The short answer is because those bags end up in the landfill and will not decompose for over 100 years. (They also tear easily and are harder to handle when fully loaded)
- If you get your trash out late on your pick-up day. Buckingham will always offer to take double the next pickup day. If the cart if full, place extra bags outside or on top of the container for no additional charge.
- The best way to get rid of a smelly cart is to rinse it out with a hose.
Soap, bleach, or other cleaning agents can be used.
